Buses

The 380 and 486 drop you very close.

380 from Lewisham / Blackheath to Woolwich / Thamesmead

If coming from Lewisham / Blackheath you have two options. (1) Alight at Victoria Way (Stop ID: 50427), continue walking in the same direction, go past Inverine Road then turn left into Priolo Road*, then left into Swallowfield Road and the church centre is on your right, at the corner where Swallowfield Road meets Sundorne Road.

*note the bus stop on the opposite side of the road (Stop ID: 73096) as it will take you home again.

Option (2) is to continue the 380 journey alighting at the 2nd stop on Wellington Gardens (it’s called “Sundorne Road, Stop K” (Stop ID: 55907)). Continue walking in the same direction, turn left and then left again into Sundorne Road** (Totty Pharmacy is now on your right). Walk down until the end and the church centre is on your left. This option is the best one for people who need to pick up a snack, e.g. the Sainsbury’s opposite Charlton railway station.

**You’ll go past Priolo Road, there’s a bus stop (Sundorne Road (Stop U), Stop ID: 77815) just inside the road that will take you home again.

380 From Woolwich / Thamesmead to Blackheath / Lewisham

Closest is on Priolo Road (Sundorne Road (Stop U), Stop ID: 77815). Turn round and head back along Priolo Road then turn left into Sundorne Road and keep walking until the end of the road. The venue is on the left at the corner with Swallowfield Road.

For your return journey the nearest bus stop is on Victoria Way (Stop ID: 50427). Exit St Richard’s onto Swallowfield Road and turn left. Turn right onto Priolo Road (ignore the bus stop you see as it’s going in the opposite direction) and then turn right onto Victoria Way. Go past Inverine Road and the bus stop is just there.

The easiest, but a little further away, is to walk all the way along Sundorne Road (going past Priolo Road) and exit onto Charlton Church Lane turning right (heading up hill) and take the bus at Warren Walk (Stop S) Stop ID: 77037.

486 from Bexleyheath to North Greenwich

Alight at Charlton Station / Charlton Church Lane (Stop H, Stop ID: 73169). Turn around and walk back up the hill passing the station and post office on your right, Sainsbury’s on your left. When you get to Totty Pharmacy turn right into Sundorne Road and keep walking until you reach the corner of Swallowfield Road at the end. The venue is on your left.

486 from North Greenwich to Bexleyheath

Alight at Charlton Station / Charlton Church Lane (Stop J, Stop ID: 47344). Keep walking up hill and cross the road. The station and post office are on your right and Sainsbury’s is on your left. Keep going up the hill until you reach Totty Pharmacy then turn right into Sundorne Road and keep walking until you reach the corner of Swallowfield Road at the end. The venue is on your left.

Trains

Charlton Railway

Follow the directions as for the 486 buses which stop outside the station. Head to Sundorne Road (look out for Totty Pharmacy on the corner) and walk down it until you see the venue on the left at the corner with Swallowfield Road.

If you are alighting on Platform 1 (on a London-bound train) you can use the side exit which takes you up onto Delafield Road (turn left onto it and then turn right onto Charlton Church Lane and keep walking up hill until Totty Pharmacy, then turn right into Sundorne Road.
