West Norwood Free Film Festival returns with rabbit-themed spring screenings!

We are pleased to announce that we will be hopping back onto your screens in 2025 with our spring festival. The theme is rabbits, as it is spring, and our screenings have been multiplying like, well, rabbits. We present five films with links to our furry friends at four venues across West Norwood from Wednesday 30th April to Sunday 4th May. So, prick up your ears, bound out of your burrow and join us. It’s sure to set your whiskers twitching!

Our last outing took place during the Hallowe’en week in 2024. We showed An American Werewolf in London, Coco, Invasion of the Body Snatchers and The Shining at venues including the Great North Wood pub, the South London Theatre and West Norwood Cemetery.

With a passion for community film screenings, we’ve been part of this network of volunteer-powered Free Film Festivals since 2017. WNFFF has established close links with local businesses and we’ve shown cool films in unusual settings, such as the Clockworks Museum and West Norwood Cemetery. Other places you might have seen our screenings at include St Luke’s, West Norwood’s oldest church and Sole Luna, a family-run Italian bistro.

About half of our screenings are currently family-friendly (suitable for all ages).

We are always on the lookout for volunteers. If you’d like to get involved in planning our next WNFFF festival, please do get in touch. We would love to hear from you! You might get involved in choosing films, updating social media, approaching venues or looking for local sponsors – and we really need to find some funding. It’s not just about helping out on the night of a screening.

No experience needed, just an enthusiasm for film and local events.
