Woman at War
Bring something to sit on and whatever you need to stay warm and dry
Halla, an environmental activist, tries to bring down the operations of a regional aluminium business. Things change when she receives a letter of approval for the adoption of an orphan child.
This is an outdoor event so bring warm waterproof clothes. Free event. No booking needed. Arrive early to secure a seat.
Please note that refreshments are not available but you are welcome to bring your own.
UPDATE ON PUBLIC TRANSPORT TO THIS VENUE: buses 63 and 363 which give close access to Glengall Wharf Garden are currently on diversion between Commercial Way & Nile Terrace so if coming from Peckham direction you will need to get off at Bonar Road, if coming from Old Kent Road you will need to get off at Dunton Road.
Set up by community members in 2011, Glengall Wharf Garden is run by a dedicated team of volunteers and provides a space for local residents to attend volunteer gardening sessions, grow food and participate in a variety of workshops, ranging from permaculture and forest gardening, to balcony and inside growing.
Sustainability and ecological welfare are core to the garden’s philosophy and the team apply sustainable growing techniques and permaculture to develop the site as a place to build skills, community and wellbeing for all.
