Four female friends bond over their love lives

Based on #1 New York Times bestselling author Terry McMillan’s novel, Waiting to Exhale follows four very different African-American women as they navigate love and friendship.

Join us on Tuesday 3 September at Peckham Palms (Peckham Palms Arcade, 1-14 Bournemouth Close, London, SE15 4PB) to follow the funny and touching story about four women who find strength through their rare and special relationship.

No alcohol. Delicious Caribbean or Nigerian food and drinks can be purchased from our on-site restaurants Patois Kitchen and The Flygerians.

Free event. No booking needed. Arrive early to secure a seat.

The Palms opened its doors in the heart of Peckham, South East London in 2019 – becoming the UK’s first dedicated Black hair and beauty destination, purpose-built for Afro hair, beauty and lifestyle start-ups. A unique Afrocentric retail space and community hub, The Palms exists as an innovative cultural enterprise and good practice model of urban renewal – offering subsidised and affordable rents, serving as a dynamic space for new and upcoming businesses, and providing a legacy home to the established community of independent Black hair stylists once located in nearby Blenheim Road.
