Toy Story 3
Bring something to sit on and whatever you need to stay warm and dry
The toys are thrown into a dangerous new world.
Enjoy the best(?!) and most classic(?!) Pixar offering Toy Story 3 on this sure-to-be dry & balmy first day of September evening (Sunday 1st September).
Andy, now a teenager, is going to college. Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and the other toys are accidentally donated to Sunnyside Daycare, a daycare center, by Andy’s mother, and the toys must decide where their loyalties lie. What follows is an, undeniably, hilarious, heartwarming and emotionally honest adventure of epic proportions. The first animated movie to make $1,000,000,000 (9 zeros) at the box office, may be worth a watch/re-watch/re-re-watch/re-re-re-watch.
This is an outdoor event so consider warm waterproof clothing, in case it’s not so dry & balmy. Also definitely bring something comfortable to make the concrete less UNcomfortable. Free event. No booking needed. Arrive early to secure a spot.
Pelican Estate, which lies on the Peckham & Camberwell border, was built by the London County Council (LCC) between 1956 (when the first residents moved in) and 1964. 247 flats and maisonettes distributed across nine residential buildings: Crane, Curlew, Falcon, Gannet, Heron, Kingfisher, Mallard, Osprey, and Tern House, are the home to some of Peckham’s proudest and most community-engaged residents. Our screening will be taking place on the basketball court, behind the community hall.
