The Self Isolation Songbook
Don’t miss the London premiere of The Self Isolation Songbook on Friday 10 September at much-loved community boozer the Old Nun’s Head, 15 Nunhead Green SE15 3QQ. This short music film features singer-songwriter Art Terry, who recorded a song a day for 52 consecutive days of the 2020 lockdown. The film isn’t a polished work – some days the endeavour came close to collapse – but it stays true to its intention, to harness philosophy, anxiety, playfulness, nostalgia and hope to reflect the times we are in. There will be a Q&A and a gig afterwards, with Art riffing on songs from the film.
Community pub with the best beer, pop ups, killer playlists and awesome staff. So good they won the 2020 World Cup of Pubs.
Come early for the pub’s soulful Flygerian street food.
How to get to the Old Nun’s Head. P12 and 78 buses stop close by – alight at Nunhead Green or Barset Road. Walking distance from Nunhead Station. From Peckham Rye Station, walk to Nigel Road bus stop and it’s a short hop on the P12 or 78 or walk through to Nunhead Green along Scylla Road.
