Short Film Night + Filmmakers’ Intros
We think this will be our 11th Short Film Night at the Herne Hill Free Film Festival (sorry for not being entirely sure, it’s been a long time). On Monday 12 May we will once again be showcasing the wealth of film-making talent we have in and around Herne Hill. All the films screened have either been filmed locally or made by someone who lives locally. Every year it amazes us how much film-making talent there is in Herne Hill.
Expect an eclectic mix of films. We never release a running order so you’ll just have to come along and see for yourselves what films are on this year. We’ll also have many of the filmmakers down to introduce their films themselves.
A staple now at the film festival and always one of our favourite nights. It’ll be another intimate night of Herne Hill film in our spiritual home, the independently-run Prince Regent. They’ll be serving up delicious food and drinks from the bar.
If you love short film, look out for two other nights this year. My Kind Of Black: A Night of Short Films by Young Black Londoners is on Tuesday 20 May, and Cycling Shorts returns on Thursday 22 May.
FREE MAKES IT INCLUSIVE, DONATIONS MAKE IT HAPPEN
As part of this year’s Herne Hill Free Film Festival we are pleased to be supporting again the Lambeth & Croydon Food Bank, helping to raise awareness for this most worthy of local causes. Any donations by card or cash at each of our screenings would be greatly appreciated to help this wonderful charity continue its admirable work*
