Shaun of the Dead
Bring something to sit on and whatever you need to stay warm and dry
Shaun of the Dead has, over the last 21 years, become a classic zombie comedy, with pints, Queen, blink-and-you’ll-miss-em cameos, memorable lines and a weaponised cricket bat. The first film in the “Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy” sees Shaun trying to win back his girlfriend, reconcile his relationship with his mum and stay loyal to his best friend, all while a zombie apocalypse takes place. Is waiting it out at The Winchester the answer?
Come and revisit an old favourite, or bring someone to see it for the first time (noting the 15 certificate). And feel free to come in fancy dress. How’s that for a slice of fried gold?
The beautiful art deco Brockwell Lido is the backdrop for the evening. Grab some food and drinks from Four Hundred Rabbits and wait until it all blows over. Bring something to sit on, something waterproof and some warm layers – but please, no glass!
FREE MAKES IT INCLUSIVE, DONATIONS MAKE IT HAPPEN
As part of this year’s Herne Hill Free Film Festival we are pleased to be supporting again the Lambeth & Croydon Food Bank, helping to raise awareness for this most worthy of local causes. Any donations by card or cash at each of our screenings would be greatly appreciated to help this wonderful charity continue its admirable work*
