Scala!!! + Q&A

Free (No ticket required - First come first served)
8:30PM
INDOOR: Peckhamplex Cinema

Anarchic, uproarious documentary about the world’s wildest cinema.

The film festival opens on Friday 31 st August, at the legendary Peckhamplex, 95A Rye Lane, London SE15 4ST with a celebration of another iconic repertory cinema in the form of the documentary Scala!!!

This anarchic, uproarious film tells the riotous inside story of the cinema, which had its home in Kings Cross, and inspired a generation of creatives. More than mere nostalgia, this is a love letter and a universal shout-out to the power of cinemas and film to inspire impressionable young minds and create a sense of community. Much like the free film festival aspires.

The film will be followed by a talk and Q&A with the directors Ali Catterall and Jane Giles, who is also a former programmer at the Scala.

Limited tickets available for pre-booking. All remaining available will be first come first served on the night. Book here: https://www.peckhamplex.london/film/pnfff-30824-scala

PeckhamPlex is London’s favourite, and cheapest, independent multiplex cinema which screens independent, foreign, and art house films every day at an affordable price for all.
