Quadrophenia
The cult classic, based on the Who’s 1973 rock opera of the same name.
Set in London in 1964, Quadrophenia depicts a period of emotional turmoil in the life of Jimmy Cooper (Phil Daniels), a young Mod who escapes from his dead-end job as a postroom boy by dancing, partying, taking amphetamines, riding his scooter and brawling with rockers. This reaches a crescendo at the Brighton Scooter Run, when the Mods and the Rockers converge, ending in the Battle of the Cults on Brighton Beach. What goes up must come down, and with Jimmy’s come-down, his life is turned around, and so begins his downward spiral into paranoia, isolation, and the four-faceted mindset: Quadrophenia.
The Electric Cafe’s famous food will be available at this event including – tea, coffee, cold drinks, sausage sandwiches, bacon sandwiches, chips and a veggie option.
