Twice a year the Tuscan city of Siena goes crazy for the oldest horse race in the world: the Palio.
Strategy, bribery and corruption play as much a part as the skill of the riders in the madness of the race, who are loved and loathed by the districts they represent. Legendary rider Gigi Bruschelli works the system, has won 13 Palios in 16 years and is two wins away from beating the world record. But Giovanni Atzeni, less interested in bribes and collusion, stands in his way. Come to The Prince Regent on 8th May at 19:30 to see a goose battle a unicorn, a giraffe spar with a tortoise, or just to find out what the hell that means!
