My Kind Of Black: A Night of Short Films by Young Black Londoners + Q&A
Join us at one of our new screening venues, 198 Contemporary Arts and Learning gallery for an evening of short films showcasing the voices and talents of young Black Londoners as they explore issues that matter to them. The event highlights the work of Bridge the Gap Studios, supporting young people and families through creative therapy and workshops, and The Spit Game, a youth-led platform celebrating Black culture and social justice.

The Nudes
A candid exploration of consent in the digital age, focusing on the non-consensual sharing of intimate images.
The Nudes is a short film exploring young peoples’ perspectives on sex and relationships, specifically around consent in digital spaces. With the sending of nudes very common in our communities, this short exposes the impact of receiving non-consensual nudes, raising awareness and challenging choices.

Help! I Think My Teacher Is A Racist
An unfiltered look at racism within the education system. Highlighting just some of the issues in the education system from a black teenager’s perspective, that also reflects some of the complexities and difficulties teachers also face, and how the system they work within rather than the individuals can affect the experiences of those they teach.
