Limbo
Omar is a promising young musician. Separated from his Syrian family, he is stuck on a remote Scottish island, housed with three other hopeful refugees all awaiting the outcome of their asylum applications.
The group must navigate the frustrations and inexorably slow pace of the asylum system, while unpicking the puzzling details of day to day life, and the kindnesses and cruelties they are dealt.
Limbo is an offbeat observation of the refugee experience; a deadpan delight bursting with humanity. Illuminating the hopes and hardships of the refugee experience, this is a wry, poignant, and bracingly funny ode to kindness.
This screening will be captioned.
