Spike Lee’s tense disco-fuelled drama.
New York City, Studio 54, CBGB and a serial killer called Sam kick start #NXDFFF16 with Spike Lee’s tense disco-fuelled drama.
Lee recreates the simmering tension and fear that gripped the Italian-American Bronx in summer 1977. Drugs, infidelity and violence provide a backdrop as a serial killer stalks the neighbourhood.
After the film we continue the disco vibes until very late with Bazooka Joe’s Hatty and Funkwars laying down some authentic NYC disco jams from the era.
