Julie and Julia

Meryl Streep, Amy Adams and Stanley Tucci star in JULIE & JULIA, Nora Ephron’s comedy-drama about a famous food writer (Julia Childs), who popularised Cordon Bleu cookery in 1960s America, and the New Yorker (Julie Powell) she later inspires.

Unhappy in her day job in 2002, Julie decides to cook her way through Julia’s many French cuisine recipes, first published 40 years earlier – and Julie blogs about them, with unexpected consequences. Meanwhile we see how Julia, living in Paris with her diplomat husband (Tucci) determinedly learned the ways of French chefs…

Sole Luna are planning a special menu for this evening screening.

Julie & Julia is “a satisfying throwback to those old-fashioned movie fantasies where impossible dreams do come true” (the LA Times).
“Streep—at her brilliant, beguiling best—is the spice that does the trick for the yummy Julie & Julia” (Rolling Stone)
