Fashion Reimagined PLUS workshop

Streatham Free Film Festival and The Woodfield Project presents a clothes mending workshop where you will learn how to mend your favourite item of clothing that needs some TLC.

PLEASE NOTE the workshop costs £5 – ticket link HERE– the film screening is FREE to attend.

Under the expert eye of Emily Jones, Senior Technician in the Revival Costume Workroom at The Royal Opera House, you will have the opportunity to bring along an item of clothing and learn how to to darn a hole or sew a patch to give it a new lease of live.

During this session Emily will show examples of costumes from the Opera that have been repaired and revamped to allow them to continue being used in world class opera and ballet productions/

Emily has worked in the costume and fashion industry for 15 years. She will share behind the scenes stories from dressing world famous opera singers to making couture clothes for royalty.

After the workshop we will screen Fashion Reimagined.

Refreshments on sale throughout.

Fashion designer Amy Powney of cult label Mother of Pearl is a rising star in the London fashion scene.
