Crip Camp – A Disability Revolution

Free (No ticket required - First come first served)
12:15PM (Doors open 12pm)
INDOOR: Streatham Library

Crip Camp

Crip Camp is about the emotional experience of finding community and oneself for the first time.  It’s the power of realising that a better life is possible through social change.

Oscar nominated for Best Documentary it recalls life in the early 1970s, when teenagers with disabilities faced a future shaped by isolation, discrimination and institutionalization. The camp became a Utopia and place where friendships and activism began in the fight for equal rights in America.

Streatham Library is fully accessible and the film will be presented with HoH subtitles for the D/deaf or hard of hearing.

The venue requires that masks are worn unless you are exempt.

Our screenings are on a first come basis.
Several buses stop near the library – 109, 159, 133,333,250 and Streatham and Streatham Hill stations are less than 10 min walk away.

With thanks to our sponsors
