Catford Film 72 Hour Film Challenge 2017
Calling Film Makers Everywhere
Catford Film are delighted to be hosting Catford’s very first 72 hour film challenge. This is part of the 9 day Catford Free Film Festival 2017. We welcome entries from absolutely anyone who is interested in making a film, and requires no specialist equipment, expensive camera or phone, you will only be judged on your creativity. We launch this event on the opening night of the festival with team registration between 5-7pm 8th September at the Catford Constitutional Club, and entrants will have 72 hours to write, shoot and edit a short film, and bring it back to us within 72 hours. (Max 5 mins in length)
Team registration will be in the Catford Constitutional Club on Friday 8th September between 5-7pm, and entries need to be finished and submitted back to the same place between 5-7pm Monday 11th September.
Late registration can also be available at St Laurence Church after 7pm on the same evening during the opening gala of the festival (8th Sept) inside the main entrance to the church. 72 hours will still apply for late registration, and all times will start from the time each team registers. Your film MUST be submitted back within 72 hours of the time you registered to be entered into the competition.

During the registration, you will randomly select the following things that MUST all be in your finished film:
A Title
A Genre
A line of Dialogue
A Catford Landmark
The shortlisted finalists will be screened on the last night of the festival 17th September at the Catford Constitutional Club before the screening of A Man Called Ove.
The films will all be judged by a panel of individual Film Makers in the following categories.
1 Under 16
2 Over 16
3 Family
4 Overall winner
Each finalist to be screened will be given a certificate of participation, and small prize.
The overall winning team will be also given a tailor made days film training with industry professionals at our expense.
