The Peckham & Nunhead Free Film Festival (PNFFF) 2025 is excited to announce the return of its popular Short Film Open Call! Following the huge success of last year’s inaugural Shorts Night, this is your chance to have your short film showcased on the big screen at the iconic PeckhamPlex Cinema in South London.

To participate in this exciting opportunity, ensure your entry follows all technical and submission guidelines. Technical Requirements for Your Short Film Entry at Peckham & Nunhead Festival 2025
To ensure your film is eligible for screening, please adhere to the following technical specifications necessary for creating a Digital Cinema Package (DCP), the standard for professional cinema projection:
🎥 Video:
- ProRes 422 (1920x1080p / 2K / 4K)
- OR H.264 / H.265 / MPEG-2 video at 1920x1080p / 2K / 4K with an average bitrate of 50 Mb/s or higher (Blu-ray spec)
🔊 Audio:
- 5.1 audio mix preferred (embedded in ProRes or as separate WAV files)
- PCM / AC3 / DTS / AAC formats also accepted within the video container
📝 Subtitles:
- All films must include English subtitles in a standard text-based format (e.g., .srt)
📅 Final delivery of correctly formatted files is due by July 7, 2025.

How to Complete Your Short Film Submission for Peckham & Nunhead Festival 2025

Include the following information in the body of your email:
- Film Title
- Runtime
- Logline (1–2 sentences)
- Director’s Name
- Filmmaker Contact Email
- Social Media Handles
- Letterboxd Link (optional)
- Year of Production
Please also attach a link to view/download your film (e.g., Vimeo, Dropbox, Google Drive) and any relevant press materials if available. Make sure the sharing permissions allow downloading
- File must be clearly labelled: FilmTitle_DirectorName
- Links should remain live until 7th July, our deadline
