Call out to filmmakers: PNFFF 2024 x PeckhamPlex, submission deadline 31 July
Peckham & Nunhead Free Film Festival 2024 is offering filmmakers the chance to see their work on the big screen as part of a one-night short film showcase in PeckhamPlex cinema.
Now in its 15th year of bringing free entertainment to SE15 communities, the volunteer-run Peckham & Nunhead Free Film Festival (PNFFF) will be back from 30 August to 8 September offering a wide range of free indoor and outdoor screening events.
One of the highlights will be a curated short film night in Peckham at the legendary independent cinema gem PeckhamPlex.
Completed short films must be submitted for consideration by Wednesday 31 July. Send details of your film, including a brief synopsis and a viewing link, by email to [email protected] (with Short Film Submission in the subject line), or by direct message to _pnfff on Instagram.
Films should be up to 15 minutes in length, with the organisers aiming to feature a range of runtimes on the night. Submissions will be selected and curated by PNFFF into what will no doubt be a fantastic night of film in Peckham’s favourite cinema.
Event co-organiser Joshua Hubert explains:
“PNFFF is a celebration of our community, the diversity and variety of our culture, and the shared love for film.
“Whether it’s Peckham and Nunhead, wider London, or further afield, we are all united by the general political, social, cultural, and economic undercurrents which mark and shape our communities.
“So, in that spirit, auteur or amateur, near and far, we invite all filmmakers to make submissions!”
The Peckham & Nunhead Free Film Festival’s full programme of movies and screening locations will be revealed later in July, make sure you check out the website and follow our social media for updates. We’d love to hear from you if you fancy helping as a festival volunteer, get in touch to find out more.
