They Live – B Movie Horror Night
35th Anniversary Screening!
A downtrodden drifter arrives in L.A. and, while looking for work, stumbles upon a box of sunglasses that reveal humanity’s true identity. It’s now up to “Nada” and his new best friend Frank to save the world by dismantling an alien plot to destroy the Earth’s ecosystem for their own fiendish agenda.
Incorrectly labeled by some as so-bad-its-good cinema, we are here to set the record straight—this is a fully realized artistic achievement by a filmmaker at the top of his game and firing on all cylinders to deliver the exact product that he set out to make. In other words: a full-stop masterpiece.
You’ll laugh. You’ll cheer. And you’ll leave the cinema with at least 50 incredible catch phrases stuck in your head. Don’t even think about missing this essential cult film on the big screen. This IS your god. (BRENDAN ROSS)
We’re delighted to be screening in The Furzedown Pub for the first time.
The screening is downstairs in the basement so sadly has no wheelchair access.
An evening of B-movie fun follow until late.
Bar open thorught..
